Take a peek under the hood
While the humble email may appear pretty cut and dry to the average consumer, those in email marketing will happily tell you, they are anything but easy to produce. While transitioning from a front-end developer to an in-house designer, I was tasked with designing and developing email content to our B2C customer base. Without an established brand guide, I found the work produced to be incredibly liberating as we worked to discover what appealed to customers; but design is all fun and games until you find you have to navigate the unfortunate experience of HTML emails #Yikes. After struggling to train additional email marketers to develop their own HTML template or adopt a new one, I went ahead and introduced Collage's very first responsive HTML template that managed to pass all tests (and work in Outlook too). If anyone asks, the answer is "no," I don't want to experience another ESP transition.
