Hello! I'm Cate Thomson, a graduate from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, a graphic / web designer, a front-end developer, and a coffee / tea enthusiast.
When it comes to coffee and tea, I can't decide which I'd rather have, and the same can be said for design! As a rule, I don't go a day without a cup of coffee or tea, designing something for print, or looking at new trends in web. Tea, I often find similar to print based design, as both yield refined results upon following a procedure. Coffee on the other hand, like web design, follows a varying structure based on need, and can be appreciated any time of the day. Both coffee and tea, print and web, come in a variety of flavors, all of which I find to be exciting and energetic.
As for Smoknjoeonthego?
At a young age I found inspiration in the spry abilities of an old, sizable iguana. It taught me about the miracle of coffee on a time crunch, and the amazing results to be had.

In my spare time I volunteer as a citizen scientist for the local nature center, monitoring the local nesting songbird population and Cornell’s Bird Watch program. My biggest goal in life is to have an impact on endangered species conservation, which would allow a species to become no longer threatened. My biggest success in this pursuit is my favorite fun fact about me; I’ve named a species after my 14yo iguana, Feiruz (fay-rooz)! You can read more about it here and on Wikipedia.
