One skill I found that sets designers apart from others is the ability to meticulously edit and adjust photography to fit every need. One problem I found myself coping with at Collage was photography from numerous sources, without a single style guide or set of requirements between shoots. This made for photography that was not to the required aspect ratio, photography that yielded blank instead of printed examples and often, the most cluttered and distracting backgrounds.

As Collage looked to expanded to an Amazon storefront, the need to test the proof of concept as quickly as possible required a minimum of 20 designs on 12 skus in short order. The best way of accomplishing this in short order was by product mapping and overlaying the 20 designs over all requested skus.
