Courtyard Stone & Landscape, a boutique, custom landscaping design and maintenance company, was looking for a unique branding identity and website that didn't fall into the trappings of the standard 'mom and pop' landscaping companies. Rather than going the route of bright green with motifs of the four seasons or cheeky woodland mascots, Courtyard opted for deeper colors that appealed to the clientele that took their landscaping seriously, and wouldn't feel embarrassed with a company sign in their front yard. Given complete freedom to design within budget, I was able to customize Impressum to fit the ampersand into the logomark, as the 'and' was a very important selling point to the owner. The use of deep, rich colors site-wide, allows for the imagery of the often unsaturated stonework to stand out and let the craftsmanship truly shine.
